LinkedIn Content Design Internship - Exercise

  • LinkedIn’s mission is to connect the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful. While we’ve historically focused on connecting people through a social network platform, we’ve recently invested heavily in creating teleportation technology to minimize business travel time and encourage in-person connection. Our engineers have created a fully functioning mobile app that transports the user and the device to a different location in a matter of minutes.

  • We need your help creating a 3-screen onboarding experience. These will be the first 3 screens a user sees after opening the app for the first time. Assume you’re working with a designer who will provide visuals. Please draft copy for each of the 3 onboarding screens, along with an explanation of why you chose your messaging.

Additionally, we need to get the word out! We’ve been considering a marketing email, a sponsored post in members’ LinkedIn feeds, or possibly a push notification. Please brainstorm the best way to tell the world about our new teleportation technology, and draft the announcement according to the format you recommend.

  • There’s no specific expectation for the format; you can use everything from Word docs to wireframes. But we do expect to see your suggestions for content and encourage you to be prepared to explain how you arrived at your final content and experience. Feel free to include any questions you would ask project managers and any assumptions you made about functionality.
